I don't get McConaughey here, but the other four were superb! DiCaprio should have won that Oscar, but Hanks was snubbed a very deserved nomination (and I personally rarely care for him).
I'd even say it was his best performance, ever. I mean, I'm not really a fan. I hate his Oscar wins, and the only times I've been really impressed with him has been when he's had a very loose character to play (That Thing You Do, A League of Their Own) so this was a surprise for me...but honestly, his last 20 minutes of screen time is the, hands down, best acting by anyone in the entire 2013 year.
1) DiCaprio
ReplyDelete2) Hanks
3) Ejiofor
4) Redford
5) McConaughey

The Hanks snub was one of the biggest surprises for me on nomination morning. His best performance in over a decade, easily.
