I don't get McConaughey here, but the other four were superb! DiCaprio should have won that Oscar, but Hanks was snubbed a very deserved nomination (and I personally rarely care for him).
The Hanks snub was one of the biggest surprises for me on nomination morning. His best performance in over a decade, easily.
ReplyDeleteI'd even say it was his best performance, ever. I mean, I'm not really a fan. I hate his Oscar wins, and the only times I've been really impressed with him has been when he's had a very loose character to play (That Thing You Do, A League of Their Own) so this was a surprise for me...but honestly, his last 20 minutes of screen time is the, hands down, best acting by anyone in the entire 2013 year.
