The NY critics bumped up their awards this year, becoming the first ones out of the gate, cutting off the traditionally-first National Board of Review. Not sure why, as I've always known them to announce in mid-December or so, but maybe they just wanna be first? I see no other reason for the change. Regardless tho, there were strong showings by several films, with the top prize going to the silent darling of the year, The Artist. Here are the full winners...
