Awards -- MPSE (Motion Picture Sound Editors)

For the first time in their history, the MPSE have announced their nominations before the Oscar nods are announced. Normally, it's been in the week after. Either way, like the CAS, this should give us a pretty good indicator of what to expect on Oscar morning. Although, I am more than a little bit surprised at the no-show of District 9 here, in the main category at least, although they did give it a "Foreign" awards, but I think it's one of the category's best contenders.
