2012 Awards -- Florida Film Critics

There aren't any single city-based critics groups that I'm aware of in the state of Florida, although I'm sure both Miami and Orlando are big enough that they could have one I don't know about. However, we do know about the Florida Film Critics Circle, which is a state-wide group. They have announced their winners, and it's another win for ARGO. In fact, Argo took home 3 awards in major categories, the only film chosen to win more than 1 category. 

 

Best Picture:  ARGO

Best Director:  BEN AFFLECK -- "ARGO"

Best Actor:  DANIEL DAY-LEWIS -- "LINCOLN"

Best Actress:  JESSICA CHASTAIN -- "ZERO DARK THIRTY"

Best Supporting Actor:  PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN -- "THE MASTER"

Best Supporting Actress:  ANNE HATHAWAY -- "LES MISERABLES"

Best Original Screenplay:  LOOPER

Best Adapted Screenplay:  ARGO

Best Animated Feature:  FRANKENWEENIE

Best Cinematography:  SKYFALL

Best Art Direction/Production Design:  ANNA KARENINA

Best Visual Effects:  LIFE OF PI

Best Foreign Language Film:  THE UNTOUCHABLES
Best Documentary:  THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES
Best Breakout:  QUVENZHANE WALLIS -- "BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD"
